Rocket mortgage mobile
Rocket Mortgage Mobile, an iOS and Android native mobile app, is used by clients throughout the mortgage process starting with submitting an application and through to making payments on the loan. The app is constantly evolving and adding functionality to mirror the Rocket Mortgage web products.
My Role
I worked on almost every version of Rocket Mortgage Mobile over the course of seven years. I was responsible for the user interactions, visual design and user testing of the app on both iOS and Android.

When given a problem to solve or feature to implement, I almost always start on a whiteboard. Often, this is an exercise done with the development team to ensure that the requirements are understood and that the whole team buys into the solution.

A problem with the original payment flow was that clients, while making their monthly mortgage payment, were struggling to add additional funds to principal or escrow.
We came up with several options, balancing the best user experience with the technical lift the team could endure. I user tested several variations and continued to iterate until I had a solid recommendation for the team.
